Approach
As an independent designer, I work closely with my clients. I believe that good design results from good communication, collaboration, and process. I try to understand the problem correctly, empathize, and make the appropriate design decisions as rationally and objectively as possible according to the content of the project. In my search for good design, I understand that the details become prominent as the work takes its final form, making the difference between average and good design, as Charles and Ray Eames once said: “The details are not details; they make the product.”
When I design, I conceive of all the details from the correct letter form to the typographic system, from the layout to the grid system, and from the color to the physical materials. I always try to think about how these elements act on different mediums, and platforms, from an app icon to signage, from still images to motion graphics. I try to construct a simple but to-the-point approach with my designs to create accurate solutions. Simplicity is the key element for my design philosophy; it comes together with functionality to make the work both timeless and strong.
